Hi! I’m Niki, short for Nichelle, lover of family, travel, and animals. I live in Columbus, Ohio with my husband, Brian, our daughter, Gigi, our dog, Alfredo, and two cats, Mac and Macie.
I’m passionate about how spaces or, more specifically, your home makes you feel (the *vibes* if you will). As a result, I’ve spent the past four years tweaking our family’s 1800 sq ft. home to meet our ever-changing needs. But all of that is coming to an end because we are moving!
We’ve closed on 2.75 acres of land north of the city and are in the process of building our forever home. Now, the clock is ticking to finalize our “city” home for sale before moving in to our “country” home next year.
Between my DIYs at home and my environmental design experience gleaned at work, I have a wealth of knowledge I can’t wait to share. I’m developing guides that take the meat of industry best-practices and make them applicable for the everyday, hard-working home. In addition to the play on my name, A Niche Abode, combines my love of writing, psychology, and design to help others create a home that *vibes* just for them.
